My favorite go to Vietnamese restaurant. #1 in price and flavor.
frekin A! i thought i have grown out of Pho places already! my boyfriend's a picky vegetarian and as soon as he mentioned this place i was sceptical. because no pho is meant for Vegetarian meals!well i was wrong when i ate their vegetable soup. we shared a bowl because i was already full. BUT half way my share i wanted to take everything. i stopped myself and instead write a good review because i would like to come back here again because it's just straight and simple good food! washrooms have a lovely decor but not clean enough. one of the unused tables had a spray cleaner on top and dirty rag on it. and the kitchen area kind of smelled a bit sour. but all these are forgivable because they seemed short staffed and it was 10:55pm, and they close at 11pm.so just with those picky rants...this place is actually a good place to hang out in. it's just so far from me. buy i will come back when im at this area for sure. keep up the good job!
Food was alright nothing spectacular. Pho had no flavour and the ration of noodles to other ingredients was too much . The restaurant is also not very clean , the restrooms need to be serviced well. The place is to dark and needs music in the back ground. There is no ambiance to the restaurant.
really good qaulity, nice price, and great service ^.^
I get the rare beef Pho and it's great every time. Broth is very yummy, can definately recommend any of the pho dishes they serve.
Good food and service! However, always ask for your receipts. The guy manager have tricked me couple times. What he did was if you didn’t ask for the receipts, he just tells you a number. One time, I asked for the receipts and the items on the receipt were completely not what I ordered and all items were more expensive than what I ordered. For example, he charged my extra noodles as extra meat. I didn’t pointed it out right away, I wasn’t thinking he would actually try to ripe me off. Then second time and third times, same thing happened,I pointed it out on third time and he just explained he gave me the wrong table receipts. I personally do not believe he would charge and give me receipts of other table for all three times. It’s a bit sketchy to me, and I don’t think I would go back anymore. For people who have been there often or willing to try, here is my advice, ask for receipts every time to make sure you got charged for what you ordered!
Unassuming easy going place and their food is bursting with flavor at affordable prices! Love the grilled squid at $3.95 and all the varieties of pho! Bonus points: the staff never rush you out + free Wifi plus it’s open until 11pm.
slow, room smells like sour dough, decent food.
I very nice food with always wonderful service. 👌
Not only are the staff amazingly friendly and happy, the food was delicious. Meals were delivered super quick, and had very good portions. If you’re craving Vietnamese, I would certainly give them a try.
Good Vietnamese place for "dry" dishes, which are very tasty. Pho soups, on the other hand, are too watery and almost flavourless! Open late, though.
Nice pho selections
Friendly staff great food had a great price
Hot delicious bowl of pho with speedy no nonsense service
Simply the best ~ laksa was the best ~ I will be here often may be anytime I am in Devi street ~ staff is super Kool everything about this restaurant is great
Food tastes good and it's super affordable. There are a few vegan options. I had the fake seafood noodle dry style - I'm not a fan of fake seafood, but the seasoning was great, overall a good meal. I'll definitely go back to try other options. The place was crowded, but I didn't had to wait for sitting and food didn't take long.
Rare beef wasn't really rare. Came pretty much fully cooked. No beef taste in soup. Straight up MSG soup with tough beef. Tendon inside was OK. Noodle cookedness is OK. Very little sides for putting in. Some of the worst beef I've had in pho in a while.
Mom and pop restaurants are a dying category in Vancouver. Not a fancy place, but a comfy place for cheap cold beer on tap, friendly casual service, tasty food. Always one of our top choices when we are looking for a quick casual bite while in the neighbourhood. Grilled meat salad rolls and grilled meat banh mi's are satisfying and great value. The dry style noodles are delicious
Beef Pho was tasty and service was very nice.
Don't waste you money
Really good food. The staff were very nice. We ordered apitizers and pho but it all came at the same time, was speedy tho.
Good variety of main courses, not that much of appetizers, the quality of food is amazing and the portions are big. Worth what is paid for. The only problem is that they serve whatever is ready, the appetizers might come after the entree. But a good experience
Best place ever number 36 👌🏼👌🏼
Great selection of dishes and helpful staff. If you are not certain, ask about the selection. :)
Good food and friendly service in the heart of Davie village.
One of my fave Vietnamese restos in downtown Vancouver. Spacious dining area with comfortable seating. Extensive menu with great meats available as side orders. Licenced premises so booze is available. Staff service is also good.
My favourite Pho restaurant! The food is delicious and super affordable, and the staff are very warm and friendly. Highly recommend :)
All food is awesome!! Unfortunately I always see flies over the table...
Speedy service, tasty food, generous portions, large variety in menu, and much much friendlies staff compared to pho goodness across the street. I will come back regularly.
West ends late night Pho spot. Deviate from the standard pho and you won't be disappointed.
The prices are amazing. The quantity is a good amount. Service was quick and the food took no time to arrive. So checks on all. Will definitely be recommending this place to more people. Yeah do get the spring rolls.
The beef carpaccio was good but I prefer more herbs on mine. The chicken wings were nice a crispy but can be a little more garlic tasting. Bun bo hue was ok, I am used to it at another restaurant that has more ingredients like pork blood and pig feet. My buddy said his house special was ok. Service was ok.
Best pho soup i ever had!
Delicious Vietnamese subs, and terribly cheap! Social distancing is enforced. No dine-in. They installed Plexiglas to protect both customers and employees. Very professional and friendly. We will come again for sure!
Delicious and BEST fresh veggies bowl ever ordered for vermicelli lemongrass Vegetarian (no tofu- extra veggies)
Great food, good service, well priced
Vermicelli salad comes as a huuuuge portion, too much food so very good value for money. Outdated decor and not much atmosphere but it’s a no-fuss place for good food. Lemongrass grilled chicken was wonderful. Service was very slow, I’ve seen other people commenting on this as well but I can’t agree that the staff were unfriendly as they were perfectly pleasant. I’d definitely go again if I was in the area.
Nice restaurant on trendy Davie st. The Pho taste good. However, the beef had a suspicious taste and the basil, paper etc wasn't fresh. Amount of noodles is very small. But it is fairly cheaper than other Pho places.
We arrived on a Wednesday evening. The food was excellent, probably the best Vietnamese place in the neighbourhood. The service was great and the price was fair, $50 for the 3 of us to feel too full to move.Update: not sure if it's because I've there so many times after my first visit or I've tried some other pretty good pho place in the neighborhood, their foods don't taste that good anymore, though I've tried many different dishes in the menu. The service, too, went downhill somehow.Update 2: last time I was there, I found a piece of my tomato still have code sticker on it, will be my last time ever.
I don’t write reviews often but this place has the best South Asian food in Vancouver .
Good basic pho, not as condiment heavy as in the states. Good beefy broth and fresh ingredients. The fresh rolls were big and tasty too, good eats on a budget!!
Great, affordable place to eat with great flavour! Loved the grilled squid and the pho was very nice. Would not recommend the red bean dessert though; it was just ice, red beans and milk when the menu said it had icecream, banana, and more. Also the servers should wear uniforms instead of sweatpants.
This is the place that will get you through the Vancouver rainy winter!Delicious food, affordable menu and friendly polite service.• Spicy soup with beef & noodles 😊 is my personal favorite.
Great food great service! Loved the veggie Vermicelli Noodle Soup (vegan)
I just love this place everything is so fresh good quality for money and quantity in the staff a great that sells it all right there
Always great service and fresh food. Really love the coconut curry chicken pho for a rich and hearty option
Food was delicious and the ladies working there were really sweet. Great prices too. I would definitely come up.
This is a really nice place to have cheap and great pho. I visited this place twice and never was I disappointed. I had so much to eat for $9 that I had to keep some of it for the next day. The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because they could do a better job cleaning the place. Their service is okay and you can come out of the place with a smile on your face.
Great place to have a bite to eat and beer. Great atmosphere and tasty food. Mom and pop type pho restaurant. I had the cubes of beef (#54) very yummy great prices. Tried my girlfriend's pho yum. Recommended.
Friendly staff but too quick getting the orders.
